Yes Keith I use the meteosat images too. I get em here;
meteosat.e-technik.uni-ulm.de/
The problem is on a large scale image like that you dont see the small scale localised cloud systems that so FUBAR'd me the other night. I was actually looking at the meteosat images and there wasnt a cloud to be seen. Actually this was the very image at that time;

You'd thing Dublin was sitting pretty, but I think my problem was cloud forming as the airflow hit the irish sea.

Same happened me on Sunday night - Dave, check here to see if clouds' on the way, it's an IR shot from space, not visible (of course it's nighttime!!)
