true! The Belt of Venus is just one of the many atmospheric phenomena visible at sunset. I'm not sure the origin of the term, but it's a nice effect that people are often not aware of. I remember last Summer being struck by how many occasions I was able to see anti-solar crepuscular rays; again, a sunset/sunrise phenomenon, when the cloud shadows were seen crossing the sky, converging on the anti-solar point.

true! The Belt of Venus is just one of the many atmospheric phenomena visible at sunset. I'm not sure the origin of the term, but it's a nice effect that people are often not aware of.
