The StellaCam Ex & 2, MallinPro series are excellent for deep sky. They are expensive.

I suggest you contact Modernastronomy website where you can select the camera and ask them what recording device is used with there cameras.
The system I have is an expensive route using the Astrovid 2000 plus AD to DV converter, digital board for CPU and Videowave 4 programme to obtain recorded images. There may be inexpensive items that can be gleamed on Video Computer magazine on the newstands.
