Brian,

I used to get paid a fair bit for hitting rocks tax free overseas and then some one caught on that the gold price had bottomed out so no work was available. As long as light pollution can be controlled at least you have a job. Which observatory are you working out of?

that's true - however it's all about the never-ending search for research money, something that's harder and harder to come about! No research money, no research posts...

I'm working in a university just outside Washington DC, George Mason University. Not a bad place, been here almost 3 years.

Staff Officer in a semi state body (not saying which one :lol: ).

Worked as lab. tech. previously (Dip. Sc. (Tox.)).
