:lol: I was waiting for this, all you need is a monocle and a quirky accent (already got that) and you'd be the Irish Patrick Moore.
Go for the radio slot before you know who does, especially if RTE are warming up to a slot like this, we (Irish amateur community) seriously need this as RTE haven't ever done anything long term in the astronomy field before.

Well, I can play the xylophone and I wasn't half bad as a wicket keeper...

I think that in order to add weight to a request, we need to give RTE a sense of folks actually wanting this. So, I'll pop up a poll which I suggest we run for a week.
