From the ones I've seen, I'm surprised they even make it that far to be honest.

John
Better that old people should die of talk than to have young people die in war.

Run away! run away!
If you are looking for a bargain save your money for a Lidlscope.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Hi people
Believe me, I had no intention of buying one, I'm too long at the game for that.
It's just the unsuspecting parents out there that I feel will be ripped off if they purchase one for a child, and then having to deal with the intense disappointment when the nice pictures on the box don't look like that through this instrument.

Hi,
Yes, National Geographic did the same with a rather poor quality illustrated astronomy calendar. I guess its for commercial reasons. Its a pity to see a well respected society do such a thing.

I understand it's a toy store Peter, the point is that the National Geographic promotes nature and science and the world around us, some of their astronomy related articles have been great reading, so an organisation with such goals should not link itself with an item that can damage an intetrest in science.
I don't think they would put their name to rifles for hunting deer or chain saws for cutting down trees, yet they put their name on this.
It's just that I'm extremely disappointed in them.
