Dear List,
I have been following these Lidl postings with interest, for I have also noticed items which could be extremely useful for astro work.
It is interesting to note that your specials for a given week are consistently one week in advance for the same in Greece. Anyway, this is perfect for me since it gives me lots of advance information via the messages posted here.
I should note that the weather station will be on sale for us next week and at a slightly lower price (13.79 euro). Anyway, thanks to all for confirming what seemed like an interesting "toy" when I first saw the flyer for next week earlier today.
Anthony.

I see they have a blood pressure monitor coming up soon for 19.99.
Unfortunately I cant think of a good astronomical use for this other than for pure amusement, like connecting it to John Flannery during an Aurora, or to several people here and then say "Astronomy Ireland is great for Irish Astronomy"
Cheers,
~Al

I better buy a few monitors in case I their gauges blow up during a particularly active spell of auroral displays If this month's total lunar eclipse is clouded out then I think we'll all need some medical help -- I can't even remember the last clear one from Ireland.

John,
I do not mean to add to your pain and frustration but I think this month's lunar eclipse will be the last one until 2007. I wish you clear skies later this month!
Anthony.
