Apart from goofing off work by looking at the IFAS forums, planning some serious fishing and preparing for the DipABRSM in December

I was ready for some all weekend, but the blasted rain storms would have probably washed me into the Shannon!

I thought this thread was beer - related!? - Doh!

Let's see 'spare' time.....Hmmm....

• Making stained glass in the evenings & days off so I can buy a new scope.
  (shameless self promotion-here, lets hope the advertising police don't come after me!)
  
  
• Feeding, walking, training , playing & cleaning up after a new puppy we got.
  
  
• Odd jobs around the as yet unfinished new (2 year old) house.
  
  
• Goofing around with my band Barberskum
  (I'm pretty sure the advertising police won't come after me on this one )
  
  
• Playing Texas Hold 'em poker with my wife and the lads.
  (Usually online at Paddy Power because we are all too lazy to drive to each others houses.)
  
  
• If the Surf Conditions look like they will be good in the evening I usually drop everything
  and head down around the West Clare direction after work with a mate that lives in Shannon.
  (Although, much like astronomy - surfing is an opportunist sport as well!)
  
  
• And when I'm really bored I'll pull out the X-box360
  (although it's acting the maggot lately and it keeps shutting down )
  
  
• Apart from that I still manage to squeeze in a bit of telly like The Sopranos & Deadliest Catch.
  (Oh... and Big brother :oops: )
  Read a bit, currently I'm half way through 'The Swarm' by Michael Crichton,
  which is really cool as it's about a swarm nano robots that become self aware after an accident
  in a reserch facility in the Nevada Desert - (I foresee a movie from this one!)
