Its fairly specialist stuff. Do you have a picture of the set up you are trying to bond so I can recommend the best solution?

Close one! Don't use silicone sealant to re-glue it. The stuff you want is called "All Fix Chrystal" made by Soudal.

oh dear god !!! :shock: you were seriously lucky !
I had a similar heart stopper a few months back when a dew shield for the telrad fell into the obsession, but thank god the lid was on it an it bounced off it and landed 10 feet away.
