The notion that you need a laser to shine a light on an object in the night sky is as fraudalent as saying that an outrageously expensive 3 inch apo can give you the same view as a dirt cheap 6 inch reflector.

Fools and their money are soon parted.

Astronomy is full of fools.

I see what you're saying but I wouldn't worry about it, its written on the laser.
I suppose been a relatively new technology, many people might not realise how dangerous they are.
Most people know how dangerous a hammer can be.

Try an use a laser at a starparty and you'll soon discover how dangerous they can really be. :lol:

:-) The trick is to just turn it on across the sky for a fraction of a second and watch everyone go "Wow!" at the meteor that just went past! :wink:

Guess I'll have to find more creative ways to cause confusion at starparties now. :twisted:
