Well the time has come for me to move on from AI/A&S. I've been there for a few years now and I feel I have brought the company as far as I can. I went in there with one goal to give the amateur astronomer very competitive prices on there scopes and I think I have achieved that over the years. Plus I also set up a nationwide dealership with celestron. I may be there one or two days a week from time to time. There will be new full time staff brought in to bring the ship forward.
So what is next for me well first of all I'm going to spend more time with my family at the weekends. The club I'm setting up is nearly there. All there is left for the to say is thanks to all on the boards for there support through the years good times and bad clear skies to all.
Ps,
For Telescope queries please email the Shop and not send me PM's.
Over and out

Hi Carl,
Would you not consider setting up your own shop given your experience, there is alot more out there besides Celestron.

Carl - the very best of luck with club venture and here's to free-er weekends I hope the "spending more time with the family" has no connotations usually associated with politicians
Anyhow, a well deserved rest is on the way and I hope you enjoy it. Also well deserved is credit for the work you have done at reducing the price of astro kit here in Ireland as well as offering exceptional support - especially since you were brave enough to do it on these boards  Fair play to you and judging by the feedback, you did a great job.
With more time to spend, no doubt we'll be seeing more of ye here - hat's off to that idea and all the very best for the future.
Dave

Best of luck as well Carl,
Let me know if you're holding an observing night and need a few scopes.
Michael.
