Carl.
Again, best of luck in your new ventures.
I've only ever heard good words about your service.
As a salesman myself,
I've learned down through the years
it's always easy for the punters to spot the
man who is really interested in helping out and makes an honest buck
as opposed to the man who is only interested in helping out so that he makes the bucks.
People aren't stupid.
They can smell a conman a mile away and as for those that cant
well, once bitten and all that.
Some SAC members bought gear from you and said they got
what could only be described as 'a fantastic' service from you.
High praise indeed!

The thing is I love this Hobby,It's more than a hobby I'm very passionate about it. I love talking to people about the subject. I love nothing more than being out under the stars everytime it's clear. I was an astronomer long long before I became a salesman for A&S and I always put the astronomer ahead of DMs profit. When I first went to work there I did not know the relationship between AI and IFAS. Back then I posted some event in the Phoenix Park and all of a sudden all hell broke loose,I got torn apart over the post and some of the hatred was shocking at the time. The feeling I got was I was not welcome here, but I hung around to prove that I was there to help the astronomer and fix the ridiculous prices that people were being charged at the time. The rest as they say is history I left there with the prices in good shape but I'm not sure what will happen now that I have left time will tell on that one. It is also good to see that Ifas and Ai are not cutting each others throats thanks to common sense. The one fond memory I will always have is that I have met some great amateur astronomers and people over the years and they all form part of IFAS & AI.
