Yup, unmissable is right!
I got a text from a friend this evening to ask
'what are those planets in the south West?'
I was impressed!
I was actually up on top of a hill getting attacked by brambles
trying to get a shot of it at the time and dropped my mobile into the thick of it.
Ahhh Mr. Bean look out.
After I got the shot I went and scoured the place to no avail,
as luck would have it, my wife called at the most oppertune moment and
I struck gold.
I tried to catch the toolbag (mag7) with a long exp shot this eve but
on a brief look on the camera I couldnt see it.
Come to mention it,
I missed the ISS also.
Maybe I got the times a-ways.
So yea back to tonight,
It's 9:45 and still clear as a whistle.
No wind.
I've been out now for a good 3 hours and starting to feel it.
But nights like this are few and far between so on we must go!!!
Dave,
I was gonna give u a buzz to head to the Burren but believe it or not
got a flat!
You know my luck!

Yeah, finally a superb crisp evening into night for astronomy. From where I was in Tullamore earlier around 6pm, I had a lovel vista of Venus and Jupiter overlooking the Slieve Bloom in the waning twillight...
...no camera though.
Seanie.

If you mean "going astrolazy" and taking out the camping chair with a flask of tea, then yes!

Ya. Good night overall.
Comfy chair, binos & bino book.
No dew or wind. The seeing where I am was good.
I could make out the milky way, good enough for suburban area I suppose.
I had the scope on the astrotrac and took a few peeks
at various objects not seen since last year just to check
that they were still there. It was nice to see they were still where I left them.
I put the camera on the scope also and sat back to wait
for Orion to rise a bit but by 12 there were a few clouds
on the way and a quick check of the UK Met site showed
a bank of cloud on the way so it was time to head in.
Now if Santa would only bring us a few clear weeks for Christmas
we'd be laughin'.
