Nice shots.
I observed both passes ladt night.
First one was nice passing right above Jupiter but I could
Not spot yhe shuttle.
Second pass was much nicer and both were clearly visible
The iss a definate goldish colour contrasting with the white of the shuttle.
Interesting to see them fade into yhe earths shadow also.
I suspect they will be much further apart come tonights pass.

We will get another shot at Discovery tonight - it is still up! It will be much higher tonight - 27 deg from Larne, higher still from the South. Pass is 2117, deorbit burn for first landing opportunity at KSC is 2141. If both KSC landing opportunities are weathered out then Discovery will land at Edwards so we won't see it Saturday whatever!

Well the sky did its usual tease last night. Not a cloud in the sky all day. Head out at 8.54pm. Jupiter shining brilliantly. Passersby ask me what I am looking at. Look up again at 8.55:30pm and Jupiter has dimmed considerably. Lovely. Bloody haze in that area of the sky now and that area only. Didn't see the shuttle at all. ISS visible but dim 2 minutes later. Same for the later pass. Back to 100% crisp and clear after 11pm.
