If there is a clearing in cork/kerry, it certainly doesn't reach up to Limerick, what an amazing display we had last night. I hope its clear on Friday night, I heard there might be a change of anoother one as there was more activity on the Sun in the past 36 hours..

Lets keep those eyes open :shock: .....


BTW, I think a number of you have incorrect times on your computers or is the web site assigning incorrect times for mails posted ???

Center of town is not the best place for astronomy anyway - especially Doctor's Lane! If you'd gone done the Moyglare Rd, you'd have been fine - anyway away from lights!

Ironically I live down in Moyglare Village and have a perfect view of the Northern Horizon but I was staying at my partners place last night!

Seems to be clearish over Cork & Kerry from the satellite image, though still bucketing down in Dublin, so I'm going to head for a pint or two, that should increase the chances for the rest of you!
