Shane,
I'm wondering, considering you own an 8" scope, what do you see as the advantages of buying the RA88s over a binoviewer?
Just curious,

Convenience I guess. It's much easier to set up than the LX90 and it has less cool-down time. The RA-88s also provide a nice mid-range between the LX90 and my 10x50s. I wanted to buy a pair of big binos while I was away and unfortunately my choice was pretty limited by what was in stock at Adorama at the time. I could get Celestron 15x70s for $70 (wonder if I could get a comparable price in Ireland? Nah!), Fujinon 16x70s for $500ish or the Apogees. Besides; they've got a gimmicky kind of originality to them! Basically they're good fun to use, they look cool, and they give a sweet view!
