Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

My wife thinks that I am lacking something, you know, standing out in the cold and the dark.

I am delighted to say that my wife has an interest too, and living in a small village I can safely say that there is no other female in this village with such a comprehensive knowledge of the night sky....she does draw the line when it comes to standing more than a few minutes in the cold. She can easily point out constallations and major stars and the odd faint fuzzy. I mean she is not a fanatic and despite my offer to buy her a girls telescope (4" refractor) - she smells a rat and belives the telesope is really for me!.......tut tut tut..

Try and bring it to Sandymount next week, Paul -if the skies are clear. I would like to see through it.
