Stars Comets and Mince Pies

We had great relaxing night, first foray out since baby arrived a few days before. Thoroughly enjoyed the talks, given one was on a subject we have been working on for quite some time here

The quiz was great craic, and the highlight of the night was looking through the Grubb refractor for the first time since the late 80s.

The night turned out to be very enjoyable. There was a great buzz in the main reception room and the talks and quiz went very well. It was an ideal venue. Hope its an annual Pre-Christmas special event for the entire amateur astronomy community. Special thanks to Hillary and to both speakers for a fun evening.
