Observing guides are for telling you what you can see. You pick a target audience and tell them what they can see. What the IAU call the things you can see is just not relevant.
The skyguides on the podcast will not change because of what ever definition the IAU decide on.

Agree totally. Pluto has always been borderline, and will not get most small telescope owners up and at 'em anyway, let alone Charon etc. Keep it Seeable.
