If the conditions improved for tomorrow night, would anyone be up for an observing session at our Site? Maximum begins after local midnight.

Met Eireann's rainfall radar shows showers across Mayo, Galway and all of Ulster with another band of rain coming up from the southwest coast. However, it would seem that this will then be the last band of rain before it starts to clear as there's broken cloud just off the coast heading our way.
Next couple of hours will tell alot.

We have a fairly severe thunderstorm on here atm, so, short of a miracle, we'll have no meteors seen from here.

Tell me about it!
After I left your house this evening the heavens opened.
I had to put the brights and fog lights on driving home.

But there is a slight glimmer of hope,
there is a small break forecast just around midnight on the Sunday night / Monday morning.
Seems there will be a weather system north and south of us forming a
section clear skies.
It will be windy but hopefully that will shoo away any high clouds.

Fingers X'd.

Just checked Met Eireann's website. Looks like that weather you had is getting worse and heading right our way.
