In June usually we are 10-15 observers, 60-120 in July and 40-80 in August.

Everything else being equal, August is best because nights are longer whereas June is worst because nights are shortest.

oh dear god, I'm only seeing this now!!
am I going?? do I have 2 arms?? the answer to both of these questions is the same, a profound YES.!!
Vagelis, this is a fantastic opportunity for us cloud ridden rain soaked astronomers and I look forward to meeting all our Greek fellow astronomers when we go over there. :P

The spirit of this invitation is what the astronomical community is all about, a mutual interest that brings people and places together that might not have ever happened otherwise. :)

From what you're saying, it sounds like July is best,
more people = more scopes to look through.

Dave,
I was wondering when you 're going to reply.
You are welcome!
Yes, July is the "mother of all Star Battles", but of course, some of you can come in June, some in July and some in August.

--- Now I am leaving Athens for a traditional 3-day holidays, involving flying the kite, carnival shows, eat octapus and kalamari, etc.. I will be back on Tuesday. See you all ---

, eat octapus and kalamari, etc..

I am drooling at the mouth already. That is all we eat when we go to Crete. In fact, that is why we go to Crete. I can see my wife coming to one one these events - just for the food. (Only find octopus occasionally here)
