Deirdre.
This looks fantastic but unfortunately I will be away that weekend.
Please accept my best wishes and I hope the event is a success,
if not a regular event.

Hi,
Although the registration has passed, members of the public are most welcome to come along to UCD Belfield on the Saturday 6th September 2008. Our lecture hall is large.
There are seven talks by international and local speakers over the day and the cost is just 10 EURO to members of the public (a reduction to available to IAS members, BAA members and UCD students).
This compares very well with the high cost of individual talks (e.g. 7 EURO) from some other (non-IFAS) organisations,
John
Vice-President, IAS

On a positive note ......................
If you have any questions about the event just PM, text, ring or e mail me
This is an opportunity to meet our fellow astronomers from the UK.
Its also an opportunity to forge links ahead of International Year of Astronomy 2009.

I will also be out of the country that weekend, and I would otherwise have been going having heard whispers about this before Easter. Hope it goes smoothly. Is there any observing on the agenda?
