3rd Ballycullen Star Party

The annual Ballycullen View Star Party will take place on Fri 6th and Sat 7th February.

I would appreciate any support I can get from anyone who can bring along a scope to show the public views of the night sky through their telescope. This event has been very popular in the past and recently we have had good coverage in the press, so I am expecting a good turn out by the public this year. The Echo will be running an article on this event next Wednesday to further the publicity and they will be sending a photographer to the event on Friday evening.

So if you would like to help please PM me or just turn up on either or both of the nights. I will be providing refreshments afterwards for all who participate. Further details and a map are available by clicking on the image below:

Arrgghh!!

Missed the last one because of rain over bray but not up the road over ballycullen and going to miss this one because of snow (Going skiing on the 6/7th :laugh: )

Would have loved to have attended for the outreach and to meet your amazing wife that puts up with you!! :laugh: I jest of course, lovely guy is our John.

I'll keep all my fingers and toes crossed that ye get clear skies and plenty of attendance.

About 80 fliers have gone round the houses in the area today, and will be doing more tomorrow. I'll also post up fliers in the local shops in the area. That and some press coverage in d'Echo next Tuesday should get some interest going. I just hope that we get at least one clear night next weekend. Thanks to all who have agreed to get their scopes out so far - I reckon a few more wouldn't go amiss though so if your at a loose end next weekend here's a good way to spend it.
