Good man Paul - hope to see you there.

Are you bringing the 16" on board as hand luggage?

Paul

He'll definitely need to use an image stabiliser on that 16" while skiing.

Not sure what's on the schedule for the weekend, if I'm free I'll bring along the 25x100, 15x70 and 10x50 binos.

Just thought I'd remind everyone that this is still on.
The snow is still around but the weather for tomorrow night still looks promising.
If you can bring a scope then please do as a good crowd is expected.

OK - the forecast is still looking good.
So far it looks like we have about 9 astronomers including the following scopes:
8" Meade LX90
8" Celestron C8N-GT
4" Celestron C102-SLT
11" Celestron Nexstar SCT
11" Celestron CPC
8" Celestron SCT
Possibly a 20" Dob
and a suitable assortment of Binos

Meet and set up as early as possible - hopefully by 7:30. The Tallaght Echo have confirmed they are sending a photographer, and I would like to thank them for publicising the event in Tuesdays paper.

Be sure to dress warm as its to freeze again this evening, and although the wind is light it will feel like -6 or -8. If anyone else wants to bring along a scope your more than welcome - it should be a bit of crack, and there's beer and bickies after at my gaff as we all warm up.
