I tried to coax the hotels in Tullamore to give some sort of a discount for our traveling-from-afar friends, but none of them would entertain me. There is plenty of accommodation in the form of B&B's and Tullamore as it is, but don't leave it till the last minute! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Awh, Bernie, sorry to hear you won't be at Cosmos, I was really looking forward to catching up with you.

The programme looks great, I'll start sacrificing some animals to appease the cloud gods.

Keep an eye on RTE's "The Seoige Show" on Friday afternoon, their researcher was in contact today for materials to go onto an events showcase for the weekend.

Out of curiosity, anyone here coming to the centre of the Universe this weekend?

Change to the Programme

Unfortunately, Prof. Alan Fitzsimmons has had to withdraw from the weekend (don't worry, he will be back for next year's event).

In his place, Mr. Michael O'Connell from MAC will fill the gap with his talk entitled "Meteors and Meteorites". Now before you raise your eyes up to heaven and say "oh boy, not another meteor lecture!", Mike has some impressive samples of meteorites for his lecture, including a tiny Martian one!
