Nice to meet you last night Graham. The sky did clear beautifully after the cloud passed over and it was a very good session. Love your photos, they capture the place and the light beautifully. Just looking at those photos again Graham I was struck by how little noise they contain. I think you said you were using a Canon 7D; what ISO did you use?

Skywatcher 120 mm ED on a CG5 mount.
Orion UK 300mm Dobsonian

Yup a 7D, the main ISO's I was using was 1250, some at 640 and some at 2500, originally they were all noisey but in Lightroom 3 I just slide the luminance up and the noise disappears...ish!:silly:
