The seeing was excellent last night, the best in the few years that I have been observing.

The double double was easily split, and STF3062 was also well split (1.5" separation) at 200X. To my amazement even 35 And, which has a separation of approx 1", was just about split, the two stars appearing to be in contact. It's good to know that when the conditions permit, the optics of my scope show themselves to be of reasonable quality. I spent nearly three hours in the back garden, mostly working on a "pairs of doubles" project - more on that later.

It was a most enjoyable session, and the concert in the Park was barely audible : cheer:

Glad you had a good night mike. It certainly was quite calm in the end last night. Can't wait to get out myself again. Hopefully I can meet a few of you's up the Wicklow highlands in the next week or two.
