Venus in visual and IR

Venus in visual and IR was created by TrevorDurity
Tried Venus for the 2nd time tonight before the rain scared me off.
Didn't expect much cos it's like trying to focus on a jumping bean but Registax is amazing. Shows the phase nicely.
Captured firstly with the Megrez 90 + NexImage + 5x Powermate.
Second image was with the same setup & a 670nm IR pass filter to try and combat the seeing.
Suggestion more than welcome. Any point in stacking the 2.5 PM on it or would that be just really pushing my luck?

Now I know there is lots of aberration on your visual image Trevor, but as you said, it was jumping all around the place. You still got the charateristics as shape and cloud cover colour. But, I also prefer the IR image. Not because of the lack of aberration, but because it looks more natural and serene!
