Saw it mysekf with the naked eye at about 10:40pm on my way to work last (Friday) night. Easy to spot, was very low down at the time, but from my vantage point between Tyrrellspass and Rochfortbridge, I was up high, and had no light pollution to contend with.
Of course, being ever so clear at that time last night, and having left the house, I didnt have my bino's with me...

Getting jealous.
Even people a few miles inland of me are having clear skies. I should never have moved next to the sea.

Hi All,
I just had a look at the comet, its in western Taurus at the moment, its pretty bright as comets go, I didnt notice any tail but thats not to say there isnt one, there was a fair bit of broken high altitude cloud so the whole sky was abit hazy.
I had a look through a 4" Celestron refractor, it remined me of an unresolved globular cluster, a medium bright diffuse blob, it was easily seen through binoculars also.
I had a go at some pictures of it but nothing good came out, might try some more processing to see if I can get a half decent image out of it.
It will be interesting to keep track of it as it passes the pleiades next week.
you should be able to see it move from one night to the next,

I was at home over Christmas where the skies are really dark. The comet was very easy to see with the naked eye. I'd say it's around magnitude 4.0 to 4.5 now.
Clear skies,
Clear skies,

Saw it myself last night, quite easily from my parents house in the suburbs of Tullamore.
When I got back to Tyrrellspass, Dee and myself took out the scope. I made the following sketch:
Viewing conditions were very good, despite high altitude wispy cloud, but the strong winds kept pushing them away. After midnight, visibility began to lessen as the greater than half Moon rose higher in the sky.
