Hi Keith,
I really like your image of the Comet. The tail looks very nice indeed.
Clear skies,
Darren.

Hi All,
It's so nice to have clear skies again. I'm sure many of you have made the most of this evening's good weather. As for me, I went to Three Rock to take a second look at NEOWISE.
While the view from the summit of Howth last Friday was better (I had to contend with light pollution from Dublin tonight), I could easily find the comet using my eyes. And when viewed through my 10 X 50s I thought the tail may have been a little longer than last week. I also felt the colour of the comet looked less orange, and more white tonight.
It really is a wonderful sight.
Clear skies to all,
Darren.

My wife and I went to Cruagh on the southern edge of Dublin and our impression was the same as Darren's. It's great that the comet is visible to the naked eye, albeit faintly, through the light pollution from Dublin city centre. It's still excellent in binoculars and the image below shows it battling gamely against the lights of the metropolis.
There were others out enjoying the view too, the comet has stirred a lot of interest.

Hi Mike,
What a great photo of the Comet over Dublin. Very well done! I was delighted to read that you were able to share the moment with your wife.
Funny you mention about others enjoying the view: While I was observing the comet I decided to call my sister to let her know where it was positioned in the sky. I asked her what type of star patterns was visible from her vantage point when a voice from behind a hedge said 'tell her it is below the plough'. I found it surprising because I thought I was alone, but there was another observer taking some very nice photos of the comet. At the time I got the fright of my life, but within minutes we were sharing stories about observing. He was a real nice chap! I love how our experiences of star (or comet) gazing brings people together.
Clear skies,
Darren.
