Yeah Dave, the binoviewers came with a 1.6X corrector for newts.
However I just could not focus. Sad
I pestered Michael for a technical explanation and came up with the idea of putting on a 2X barlow in line.
Tried this and pointed at the moon.
Well there was three words to describe what I saw. (cant repeat them here).
The 3D effect on the moon was incredible. Looking into the craters, seeing the shadows, the detail was awesome. It's like seeing one of those processed images in your eyepiece.
Turned to Saturn, Shocked Shocked Unbelievable, the cassini division was remarkably clear and dark. I could actually see the different shades of the bands.
I could go on... You know what is like when you get the kick.

I'm glad you got it working Johno.
Its like seeing the moon again for the first time when using the binoviewer, its just amazing!!!, you really get the 3D globe effect.
