This lunar eclipse is much easier to see then I thought it would be.
Heres a quicl pic, this exaggerates the darkness, but thats how the camera picked it up.
Scope = F5 4" refractor with 300D at prime focus, I cant believe its a clear sky !!

I feel a bit emabrrassed posting this photo. I wasn't set-up at all for the eclipse because it looked like it was going to be cloudy. But it cleared just at 1150 but I stayed to look with the naked eye.
Only later did I think of grabbing a shot. This is handheld but not too bad considering.

here 's another go with better focus and higher camera resolution, this is the setup I'll be using at then eclipse, its not a fantastic scope as its only an acromat, but it does the job good enough for some nice shots.
alot of fine detail is lost in the rescaling of the image in terms of kB size.
eclipsedan, thats a grand image, what setup will you be using at the eclispe.

I'll be using a Canon 20D + Skylux Lidl scope. It got me great images at the annular eclipse, and I trust it will do so again.
I'll also have an Olympus OM10 with a 50mm and .15x attachment to give a 7.5mm effective 180* fisheye lens for whole-sky imaging. I could use the 500 f/8 with a 2x extender if I wished but I think I'll try something different with the fisheye instead.
Camcorder.
Normal digi-cam.
10x50 Binos.
Meade ETX-70 for visual.
Eyes.
I wish you great success in Turkey! I leave for Libya on Monday
