That's a great shot! You can see the color yet the background is still black looking. I actually think this is a better shot than any other I've seen which just look like they were taken during the day.

I took this one from my house in Larne on Wednesday 3rd Jan. I noticed that I could see the Wolf Moon out the front whilst it was tipping down with rain, so I went to the back of the house and started shooting.
This is 8 secs at ISO 1600 f5.6, so hardly surprising that I couldn't actually see it!

Am I right in saying that you took this shot in the off chance that there might be a moon bow invisible there to you but detectable by the camera?

That's great, my eyes probably weren't deceiving me. I'll be lucky if I see another moonbow, but now I'll know what conditions are needed to make one possible.
