Hi,
Observed Comet Lovejoy C/2007 E2 this morning (26-4-07 at 3hrs UT) not too far from Zeta Aquilae. Low surface brightness but swan filter helped.
70mm refractor at 25x. Bright moon low in west. Twilight starting to appear.
John

I'll also be having a look for it on my way home from 'work' around 02:30hrs. Hopefully the skies will be as clear then.

Spotted it tonight (27th april 00:35) in the 15X70's
Just appeared as the faintest smudge of light with a bright moon and low haze. Brought out the 20X80's but haze is killing it.

I was out between 02:20hrs and 02:40hrs to have a look, but the skies down here were overcast with cloud. I could see whete the Moon was, for example, but not the Moon physically.

Tried again early this morning (Saturday) around between 02:50 and 3:30hrs, but an even blanket of hgh altitude haze was present. Only the brightest of the stars could be seen, as well as the Moon, which had an eerie orange-yellow colour to it.
