Gonna be a bit breezy tonight with winds of upto 40MPH (65KPH). Partially cloudy too. So i guess the scope wont get used but the bins will. Gonna be a cold one too.
I just love being the bearer of good news.

Metcheck report that tonights storm is now named. 'Dagmar'. Winds will gust up to 150KPH it exposed areas of the north and west. That's well over hurricane force 12. Possibility of some snow following in behind the storm. Thats the second named storm to arrive on these shores in the past couple of months.
Regards and Clear Skies,
Dave.

They are naming storms here now? Thats not a good sign. They usually only do that in places where storms are VERY frequent.
150KPH you say?
I thought my mother was crazy just now when she rang me and told me the same as you basically posted. I guess the old dear aint going bonkers.
But hey it will be one to tell the grankids later on.............."Oh i remember the great storm of 2008".
"The weather... it's just pants sometimes."~~~Metcheck

Hey Paul
Make sure that Celestron 90EQ is battened down pretty well! What’s that in my binoculars field of view just above the tree line, oh just a cow that belongs to a nearby neighbour  !
Clear skies (yeah right)
