Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Hey there
Looking out the back door I can see the sky is clear, the wind is high and the temperature is low. I checked with Met Eireann and they predict heavy showers of rain, sleet or possibly snow, and if they're anything like the showers today I want nothing to do with them, so therefore, I'm not going to chance it. Tomorrow night looks good, hopefully the winds will die away.
Does anyone feel a sense of guilt if they don't go out observing when the skies clear?
My own feeling on the subject is that there's no sense in setting up the equipment if you're not in the mood and won't enjoy yourselves.
What are your thoughts on this?

The winds are so gusty it would actually be dangerous to go out tonight. Anyway there are showers on the way could be some snow lying by morning around the country especially in the north. Grab your binocs if you absolutely must!

I felt frustrated myself Paul, so I know how you feel. I have had my stuff as I left it on Sunday night last, ready for the next clear night. Now, I have time before I leave the house, the skies are immaculate here, but there's a really good gale blowing outside.

I'd be out in the dome, it can handle the winds except I have a cold coming on, I know who I got it from !! :x

Had to brave the weather to nip down to the shop, BAD idea .... it's really mizerable out ... it's cold, damp and really bloody windy. Don't care how clear the sky is ... I'm staying IN!
