Fireball! was created by Frank Ryan
WOW!!!!!!
Did anyone else see that one!?
11:40UT
From Gemini into Leo.
Wow it was bright!
-6?
Bright white - blue..
broke up into 2/3 small bits just around Saturn.
No trail as far as I could see...
But I was only just out and not fully dark adapted.

Good catch Frank. Thanks for the report. If you see any more let us know and i will be outside in the cold even with my septic eye.

I'd give you a wink right now...but it hurts too much.

Doubtful.
I spent the last hour setting everything up and just as I was
ready to go rain came in.
I swear, I am very tempted to pack this lark all in.

I know how you feel...but just wait for the spring/summer.

Although they could be worse.

I'm moving to Lanzarote.

Frank,

Didn't catch the one your talking about but did see something earlier in the SW sky, mag 1 or so. Maybe we're seeing debris from this US spy sattelite breaking up???
