Hi Jeff.

I delete the brighter stars and replace them, the fainter stars I just brush over.

Hi Michael.

I make the sketch in the field, or most likely my back garden, then I scan it into my computer where I can open it up in Photoshop. As I explained above I use the brush tool to create the stars.

I have drawn a couple of the Messier galaxies lately, open clusters are easy, galaxies I find much more tricky, I haven't attempted a globular yet and I admit to feeling a little apprehensive about it.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.
