I'd second Dave's suggestion there and also offer that
sometimes when you are watching something move along especially
going overhead you may loose it when you turn around and it might
look like it's going in another direction..
As the lads say, if you have a reasonably accurate time
and location, the sat. passes can be checked in Starry Night or that.

Sophro obviously doesn't care anymore. And after all that time I spent cycling through the minutes in Starry Night Pro for him till I found a sat crossing Cygnus matching his description.

Hello everyone,
Thanks for your replys, and sorry for my late replies! I've been working flat out the past few days so have had little time to come on here!
Regarding the time, It was between 11:40pm and 11:50pm, so we're talking 1 hour after your spotting, Calibos. As far as I can make out from Stellarium it seemed to be moving from n peg - HIP 109410, past Lacerta and towards the Deneb end of Cygnus.
I'm glad that you're all taking the time out to search for me!
Hopefully we won't have this problem again as I've just bought my first telescope: cheer: Arrives on Friday!!

Hi,
Just was reading this thread on Stargazerslounge and it sounds
like the same thing :
stargazerslounge.com/observing-widefield...tes.html#post1255031
Seems it might have been NOSS satellites (Naval Ocean Surveillance System) that you might have seen.
satobs.org/noss.html
 Oooppps sorry ignore this I misread the thread...
