yea, saw it on Friday night, very bright but near to the horison, not a hope of seeing the other planets, anyone notice how near Jupiter is to uranus ??

well, its rated at magnitude 5.74, so I suppose under a dark sky you do have a chance of seeing it, I never have but then again it was always kind of lowish in the sky from this part of the world. Now that its getting higher in the ecliptic and you can use Jupiter to pin it down, its definitely something I'm gonna try next time I'm in the Burren.

speaking of Jupiter, looks like another impact on Jupiter has been recorded.

and, I was observing Jupiter only 5 hours later through the 20", didnt see anything unusual.
