Comet 103/P Hartley was created by Neill
Hi all,
Anyone observed this comet yet? Predictions have it mag +4 by end of October, but reports on other forums state that it is not as bright as predicted but as much as two magnitudes and may just be another binos object rather than naked eye.

Nothing here Neill but I haven't had any good skies or opportunities for a week. I don't know anyone else who has attempted to see it either.
Don't forget, depending on how diffuse it is a magnitude estimate is somewhat unreliable to its actual brightness. Remember when Holmes was 'bright' but it was very diffuse making it quite faint a few years ago?
Seanie.
