There's one next year on June 3rd which is probably difficult, and then another one on Jan 24 2015 before a long hiatus.

June 3rd -hmm, I wonder. Thank you for that, Fermidox.
No, as Jupiter is in Gemini, it will be very close to the Sun.

Glad someone caught it, I contemplated driving to the midlands or even Galway to try and see it because it was overcast along the east coast, but it looked as if the cloud was moving west too, and so I decided to go to bed instead :/

Hi,

Aubrey, glad you got to see the triple shadow on Jupiter. (It was behind trees from here).

Good luck with the eclipse!

John

Thank you both, John and jmckeon, for your comments. Someday, I will see an event that someone else observed.
I just keep seeing things that no-one else saw. Nice to know, you all believe me when I say I saw the ISS transiting the Sun, and now this other Transit on Jupiter.

Thank you, John, for your good wishes for the eclipse.

Roll on November 3rd!

Aubrey.
