Sorry Steve - we're getting carried away here
AP1200GTO - an Astro-Physics German Equatorial computerised mount.
CCD - charge-coupled device (a camera with a special light-sensitve chip inside - the chip is the CCD). Webcams and digital cameras use CMOS chips.
OTA - optical tube assembly, or telescope
Photometry - the technique of measuring the light emitted/reflected from an object (star, planet, etc)
ETC - et cetera - Latin - 'et' is 'and', and its 25 plus years since I did Latin so I've forgotten what 'cetera' means - probably 'so on'
Actually - good idea about the dictionary. There must be some good astro dictionaries out there in web-land... Anyone got any links?
Cheers
Dave McD

That is a phenomenal piece of kit. I knew it would be big, but I'm speechless.
