Lidl selling Meade 10x50 Binoculars for 19:99

Argos seem to have a wide varity of tripods, great quality ones and not so great but i think they also sell adapters to mount binos to the tripod. I also just picked up a pair of the meade binos! I shall have great use out of them tonight if its clear!!

I have a Sony tripod here for a camcorder. Can I get an adapter for that? Can't seem to find one on the Argos site.

(scrap all that - I was being lazy. Even a quick search on ebay.co.uk listed 20 items. I'll pop into a camera shop tomorrow and see what they have)

They are throwing these away at 20 euro! Quite impressed- good sharp image. Looks like cloud tonight though. I'll bring them long to the KAS show and tell tonight.

I got a pair yesterday and I have to say I'm impressed.
they're light weight, rubberised body, and have great eye relief.
I remember a pair of Zeiss 10x50s 15 years ago, they were very heavy and had way less eye relief then these binocs.
Meade could have justifyibly charged double for them, good for us they didnt :lol:

I bought a pair in Lidl Leixlip(beside intel), and there were loads left yesterday evening. I haven't tested them on the night sky but they seem to be no different to the binos i bought from AI's shop.

Will be interested to hear how they fare on the night sky.
