So finally bitten the bullet and gone a bought myself a scope. Was almost to scared to take it out of the box last night in case I breathed on it by accident but eventually after about 2 1/2 hours got it set up in the spare bed room looking out the window. Now I know what its like to be the rear gunner on the Millenium Falcon!!!!
But it is a thing of beauty and I am almost a bit daunted by all the things it can do.
But my question is there is just a single silver white washer that Im not sure where it goes. I suspect it is to do with the rod that holds the telescope to the tripod but it is not shown in the diagram supplied. There are a a couple of Hex nuts there that are only used with an lx200 and are seemingly surplus. I suspect that this washer is also surplus but it is not clear from the manual. Any lx90 users know the definate answer?
Thanks

Congrats on the new LX90, hope you have as much fun with it as I've had with mine
If memory serves, there's a C-shaped clip/washer that retains the threaded rod within the tripod head assembly. This is attached to the upper part of the threaded rod to stop it slipping out of the tripod head when you unmount the scope. I'm guessing this this is your spare part.
BTW I forgot to mention before that there's a very active LX90 on Yahoo! ( groups.yahoo.com/group/LX90 ). I found this to be a great resource for newbie questions.
Cheers,
Eoghan

Thanks eoghan
I already have the c clip in place but this seems to be an additional silver metal washer im thinking is surplus and not needed. ill try the yahoo site also.

David,
Congrats! I have an LX90 and can vouch that it's a great scope!
i thnk the LX90 yahoo group might be the best port of call as it's a couple of years since I bought mine and a few brain cells have died in the interim!

David - may you have many hours of viewing pleasure
Mind if I ask - Where did you buy it from?, Did shipping cost much?
Thanks,
Keith..
