Got it from Andy mc Crea in NI so no shipping but ST£35 to have it delivered.
I spent a few fruitless hours out in the garden trying things out.
First when I did the auto align it seemed to go to completely the wrong place to find its allignment stars. Ahh so the time and date were wrong........A few errors in the set up seemed to fix things so that it was then at least tending to go in the right area of the sky.
But I still could not seem to find any of the stars that it was supposed to be pointing at. In the view finder ysometimes yes but not eyepiece. Is there an easy way to line up the view finder/smart finder? Without ahving to focus on something half a mile away?
I also found the autostar connection to be a bit dodgy in that if you take it out of its cradle the thing seems to go off and you have to go through everything all over again from scratch. A bit annoying.
Anyway these things are sent to try us. If any lx90 owners are going on an observing session some evening then pehaps they could pm me.
