Who has/where is largest scope in Ireland??

I have current custody of AI's telescope at the moment, (doing some work on it). Its actually 21" and thats not including the mirror bevel, and its f/3.94 Its a truss tube dob with a dob driver drive system built in. The dob driver doesnt really work very well, hence the work im doing on it ATM.

A few years ago Phil Lardner built a batch of about 6(i think) 20" scopes. I know Jed Glower and Wally Mee and Phil have one. I'm not sure where the rest went.

I heard of someone up in the drogheda area who bought a 32" mirror but I dont know how far its progressed.

I'm pretty sure Wally is selling his. They are absolutely fabulous scopes.

Did I not see someone at the WSP with a 22" Dob.
I have my mind on a 24" dob, they are very expensive, but the deep sky views would be fantastic!!

I also heard on the readio that the leviathen is supposed to be fully operational by the end of the spring.

Gerry Moloney is finishing off building a 28-inch scope from a kit . . . mirror is made by Steve Kennedy who, to glass-pushers in the amateur astronomy community, is considered one of the world's top mirror makers.
