Recommended power supply for Mount was created by Keith g
Hi all, I'm getting a CG5 goto mount in the next few weeks, but I need some advice on a power supply. What about this? -

I think I need an 'AC Adapter' also - is this right? This is a rechargable power supply.
Are there any other alternatives?
Thanks,
Keith..

Celestron's Power Tank comes with an AC adapter to recharge the battery - no need to worry there.
If you're on a budget UK£80 is a lot to spend to get you powered up.
I have some spare used 12V 17Ah SLA batteries which can be re-charged using a cheap car battery charger and you're welcome to one FREE if you can pick it up.
Drop me a mail if you want one.

Hi kieth you can get a power supply in maplin for 50 euros if I was you I would get the celestron power pack because it has two ports on the pack you will need them both if you buy a 12v hairdryer to clear dew while the other port will be powering the scope plus you dont have to charge it to often and you can charge it from your car if you get stuck outside any more questions just shout if I can help. I have a c11 on the same mount regards Darren

John, Thanks for the offer but I think I'll go for that celestron pack because of it's two ports.
