The Gemini G41 Field mount was one of two mounts made by Andras Dan - Field Version and Observatory+ Version The Field one is smaller, lighter and cheaper than the Observatory+.
As of the start of this year, Andras is now only making one mount. Details are here:
www.astronomy.hu/g42.htm
As for the advert, Stg£2799 is approx €4,100.
Hope this helps,

I guess the market was not there for 2 high end mounts so similar.

You know I was >< this close to buying that very mount before I got the CGE. I phoned BC&F and was told that the mount was about 4 years old and had been sitting in the shop ever since. This put me off as I assume Gemini have made improvements over that period which would not be included on that example.

In the shop for 4 years. Wow !
In that case I would bet BC&F would be glad to off load it to anyone who makes a decent offer at a fraction of the advertised price.

It might seems like a good bargin, but you just don't know what you're getting, who knows how the clutches/gears/worm have been treated over the years?, they may be perfect or damaged causing terrible periodic error which would defeat the purpose of the mount.
