John, I have a thing that looks like a T-ring that i got with the LXD 75 and another thing that looks like a ring with two screws comming out of it.

A t-adaptor will screw on to the t-ring and fit the lens mounting on your D80, Sounds like you have the t-thread fitting.

I got mine from Orion Telescopes (USA) a few years ago for around $35.
A quick Google search yields the following: www.telescope.com/control/product/~categ...ng/~product_id=05127 .... I suspect you may get a better total price locally since shipping rates from the US have changed since May/2007 for the worse.
